oi. working on a lovely sunday afternoon.
the sax guy is outside playing “somewhere over the rainbow” on market street which is kinf of ironic since it was yesterday when it rained and rained.
today is great as i look out my window towards twin peaks and corona heights and type type type java code.
oh well, only a couple more weeks and i should have my weekends back.
famous last words….

saw “oceans 11″ on friday. attemped to go see “amelie” at the clay, but it was already sold out. people must be realy into this movie, since i talked toa friend and she said it was the same in the south bay.
nobody wanted to go see “snow dogs” so oceans 11 it was. we had the theater pretty much to ourselves. kind of a fun movie, though not great.

finally saw “the cotton club” on video last night. it was much better than i was expecting. king of a gangster movie, i was expecting more song and dance.

wow. i haven’t updated this in far too long. still working at the startup in sf. working insane hours as usual.
it stinks to be inside when its so nice out side my window.

signed a new lease for a new place last night. the san francisco rental market seems to have softened up a bit.
looked at maybe 10 places and only 1 of them still had somebody living in them. saw some nice places in the inner sunset, but oh how do i hate the N-judah. it would drive me freakin crazy to have to stand each day at rush hour in and out. grr. BARt is better.
or my bike. anything but the N.

only moving a block away. its funny, my last three places have been within a block of each other. maybe i should branch out…..

looked at a “Penthouse” in soma. far too expensive and nothing that would appeal to me, but saw it in the paper and had to see what it was like.
i put on my best “i’m in marketing” hat and walked over. 11 floor facing the bay bridge. would have been a nice view without the bridge, but man was it loud when you opened the door. one bedroom and a combined kitchen and living room.
would be an interesting, though perhaps soulless place to live. but far too expensive.

the new place is perhaps on some level smaller than what i am living in now, less storage, but i think thats a good thing. it will keep my from accumulating crap. its good to purge every couple of years.
craiglist will be full of my closet o’ formally intrereting items.
oh and my desk, there is no way that can make it up the new staircase.
and my bed.
and this thermos……..
