Picked up a cheap Kensington Web Cam for $10 the other day. The Kensignton drivers are for MacOS 9, but haven’t been updated for MacOS X.

I found this great open source solution that I think works better than the original drivers.

It works great with my Kensington VideoCAM PC Camera Model #67014

Took some cool time lapse videos of the street out side my place over the course of a couple hours. You could see the shadows move and water evaporate from the sidewalk.

I tried hooking it up to take some shots of the night sky (the original reason I bought the camera) but it seems to be only good in a bright situation. Maybe through a telescope.

Happy May Day!
Hope you don’t have to work more than eight hours today.
I’m disappointed that google didn’t have a May Day graphic that you could click on.
Met with a designed friend last night to get some logos done for polar-orbit.com. That’s been on my todo list for a couple years now, hopefully that will come out nice. I’m a bad sketch artist so my designs didn’t really look like much.

been biking to work at the new place lately. I’ve been parking my bike outside, hopefully it won’t get ripped off, but the garage in the building wants $5 a day for bike parking. That’s crazy. If I park for 40 days without getting it ripped off, then I have paid for a new bike.
My commute it maybe 5 or 10 minutes longer each way, but thats not bad. I need the exercise anyway. The Financial District is okay to bike in, but the roads are really rought.
