Spend a good part of this afternoon trying out XML/XSL editors for Windows 2000. I had been using XMLSpy which I liked (though did screw me up for a day due to it giving me an incorrect error message) but it has expired and this project doesn’t have the money to spend on XML editors right now, esp since our needs are pretty minimal.

Today I tried

Xeena from IBM (old and its age shows)
ag101 (couldn’t figure out what the heck a pipe was enough to make it work)

Cooktop http://xmlcooktop.com
This is what I have ended up using. Its a good sign when you can download and start using the software within 30 seconds of finding out about it.
Downloaded it, loaded my XSL and XML files and looked at the XML menu and was able to apply my XSL script right away. Thumbs up!
