Tidua.com has changed its name to Palamida.com
Same product, same people, better name!

We’ve moved into our offices, off on howard Street in San Francisco. The new network has all been set up, bugzilla is up an running as is the wiki.

Bugzilla is always interesting to install since the directions almost, but not quite, gets you to where you need to be.

I installed 2.16.4 which is the latest stable version. I didn’t notice many changes since the last version I installed a year ago. The issues I had were that the mysql startup script had –defaults-file=/etc/my.cnf which for some reason our version of mysql didn’t support. Once that got removed, mysql was happy.

Bugzilla needed some chown -R goodness to be happy, as well as restarting apache a couple of times to get everything set. Some handwaving also helps.

We’re using UseModo wiki for our internal wiki system. It’s good enough, though I wish it did some things better. It’s sure easy to install though, and that’s good enough reason to use it, esp. for a non-essential dev-wiki.

Been a little time since I last updated, been busy with family and also setting up a new company.
Starting the first of this month I’m working for a new company
Tidua.com which is a software tools company in San Francisco. We’ll be releasing our product in a couple months. It’s a tool for Java developers.
